Festus Keyamo Reveals Who Made Obasanjo Endorse Atiku In 2019

The spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo has disclosed that former President, Olusegun Obasanjo supported Atiku Abubakar’s presidential ambition in 2019 because of Peter Obi.

Recall that Obasanjo a few days ago endorsed the presidential ambition of the flagbearer of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.

The development has stirred reaction across the country on why Obasanjo failed to endorse his former vice (Atiku) who is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Keyamo, in an interview on Channels TV, said Obasanjo endorsed Atiku for the presidency in 2019 because of the former Governor of Anambra State.

He said, “We can confidently say the wheels of PDP have fallen off internally. I don’t take the view of what some of my colleagues are doing by condemning Obasanjo. I am excited by the endorsement of Obasanjo against Atiku and Peter Obi.

“The endorsement of Obasanjo is not against APC but against Atiku because he supported him in 2019. If you heard what Nyesom Wike said it is a tragedy that your former boss who should give you a pass mark has decided to endorse somebody else. In other words, Obasanjo endorsing Atiku in 2019 was because of Peter Obi.”
