The Atiku/Okowa Campaign Organization in Oyo has declared support for the re-election bid of Governor Seyi Makinde in the upcoming 2023 general elections.

The Director-General of the Atiku/Okowa presidential campaign organization in southern Nigeria, Engr. Adeniji announced the development, while addressing the mammoth crowd on Thursday at Mapo, the venue of the event after disembarking from a city-wide support rally tagged “freedom walk for Atiku”.

Adeniji said that next month election would be an opportunity for the electorate to choose the freedom PDP is offering or continue under the bondage of the All Progressives Congress.

He insisted that Atiku is the only presidential candidate that has the qualities to unify the country and manage both human and material resources

He also said the Waziri has promised to ensure state police and autonomy for local government become a reality under his government. He lamented the current insecurity across every region stressing the need to expedite action on improving community policing.

The Director-General urged the crowd to vote Atiku as the next president of the country and Makinde as the governor of that state.

According to him, “Atiku’s mission is designed to rest on his 5-point agenda with qualitative education, adequate security, and national cohesion and bonding atop of it all. Atiku is the only man who is not sectional among them all. Atiku will unite Nigerians and put an end to ethnic suspicion among us. Atiku will also open our borders to enable legitimate transnational trade between Nigeria and its neighboring nations.

“We urge you to make sure you remain resolute in your minds against all temptations and falsehood vote Atiku as our next president as well as Governor Seyi Makinde and all PDP candidates from top to bottom. The coming election is not about tribe or religion but of quality and purposeful leadership which Atiku promises so, please, be deliberate in your resolve to reject any form of campaign against Atiku Abubakar or any PDP candidate.” Engr. Adeniji said.
In her remark, former Minister of State for FCT, Ms Jumoke Akinjide reiterated that Oyo state remains a PDP state and will continue to be beyond 2023 urging the people to vote for Atiku, Governor Makinde, and all PDP candidates in the coming general elections.

“It will be PDP from top to bottom. We will work for it and we will make sure no stone is left unturned to achieve 100 percent success in the coming elections. Atiku will win, Makinde will win, and all our Senatorial, House of Reps and state assembly candidates will win by God’s grace.”
