We Are Not Aware Of Wike’s Meeting With Tinubu – Rivers Gov Ally

An insider in the camp of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and former member of the House of Representatives, Ogbonna Nwuke has revealed what the five aggrieved Governors would be discussing in the United Kingdom.

Naija News had earlier reported that the five governors identified as G-5 travelled to the UK on Tuesday to deliberate on their preferred presidential candidate in 2023.

Nwuke while speaking on the development on Wednesday said the G-5 governors would be focusing on the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu and the flagbearer of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi during their meeting.

The former lawmaker while speaking with Leadership on Wednesday said the governors would decide on who to support between Tinubu or Obi.

Nwuke, however, stated that they are not aware of any meeting between the APC presidential candidate and the five governors in London.

He said, “We are not aware of a meeting between them and Tinubu this time in London.

“But, I am aware that the meeting they are still holding in the United Kingdom has something to do with a decision of whether to support Tinubu or Obi. That one is correct but if Tinubu has flown into London, we are unaware of that.”
