2023: PDP Presidential Rally Holds In Anambra State

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday took its presidential campaign train to Anambra State.

The main opposition party with its aim to gain the support of the people of Anambra State stormed the Ekwueme Square in Awka.

The Presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta State Governor) are hoping to attract supporters and voters, in the state ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

As of the time of filing this report, stakeholders and candidates of the party have stormed the venue waiting for the arrival of the party’s presidential candidate.

Atiku and the PDP are optimistic about gathering more votes in the region following the emergence of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi who is from the state and South-East.

There had been speculations that Obi might deter the vote of PDP in the region due to the call for rotation or power and because he is a son of the soil.

Atiku and his campaign team have a lot of work to do in convincing the people of Anambra State not to vote for their former Governor.

A View Of Ekwueme Square’s New Look As Atiku Storms Anambra Today

The venue of the Peoples Democratic Party‘s (PDP) campaign kick-off in Anambra State is said to be wearing a new look, as PDP supporters are expecting the party’s flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar in the state today.

The Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, the state capital, which is the venue for the PDP campaign is said to be all set to receive Atiku and other party chieftains who will be attending the campaign.

Naija News reports that a visit to the square revealed how the place has been well decorated with colours of the PDP with the PDP umbrella logo.
