President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide on Digital communication, Bashir Ahmad, has mocked the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over the campaign rally in Kogi State, on Tuesday.

Naija News reports that unlike the massive turnout recorded in other states, the Kogi stadium was empty as one can literally count the people at the event.

Despite the aerial view showing that the stadium was scanty photos shared on Peter Obi‘s Twitter page show, there was a huge crowd at the stadium.

Reacting to some of the photos which emerged online, Bashir noted that the unsuccessful rally was a confirmation that Nigerian voters have completely rejected the former Governor of Anambra State.

He further described the rally as an embarrassing turnout adding that the event can be mistaken for a local naming ceremony.

He wrote: “The Labour Party presidential campaign rally in Kogi was a confirmation that Nigerian voters have completely rejected the Party and its candidate even before the polls. An embarrassing turnout, the stadium was sparsely populated, as if a local naming ceremony was taking place.”

Olubadan Blows Hot Over Reports Of Endorsement

The Palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland has denied the reports of endorsing the presidential candidate of the Labor Party (LP) Peter Obi.

The palace stated that reports claiming otherwise were false and directed at misleading the general public.

Reacting to a viral video of where a member of the council was praying for Obi when he paid a courtesy call on the monarch, the media aide to the Olubadan, Oladele Ogunsola expressed shock at how the LP candidate and the handlers could turn the prayers to an outright endorsement.

Speaking via a statement on Tuesday, Ogusola stated that the monarchy could have chosen to ignore the video, however various inquiries from media houses prompted the clarification.

Ogusola wondered if Obi supporters wanted their principal to receive a curse from the palace due to their false reports.
