Cameroon manager sends a cautioning message to Brazil

The Cameroon team’s head coach, Rigobert Song, has sent a warning message to the Brazilians ahead of their tie at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.

The Coach revealed that his squad did not go to Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup only to fill up the numbers.

Recall that the Indomitable Lions bounced back from two goals down to draw a thrilling six-goal match with Serbia in Group G, which helped Song’s men maintain a chance of making it to the World Cup’s round of 16.

The Cameroonians on Friday will face a very tough test when they meet Tite’s men, who have won two of their Group G matches against Serbia and Switzerland.

The Seleccao defeated the Swiss in their World Cup opener 2 goals to nil and narrowly edged past the Serbians in a 1-nil victory.

Although the Brazilian side is without the Paris Saint-Germain forward, Neymar, who picked up an injury on his knee, the side still looks more of a big threat to the Cameroonians who are looking forward to securing a round 16 spot.

Following Cameroon’s 3-3 World Cup tie with Serbia on Monday, Song delivered the warning.

Song made the following comments in his post-match press conference: “We believe we can do it against Brazil.

“We didn’t come to the World Cup to just make up the numbers, to take part.

“We think we can still have a say in the tournament even if we know Brazil is a great team.”
The Indomitable Lions will face the Samba boys on December 2, 2020, at 8:00 (WAT).
