2023: What I Did In Anambra State That Ensured Victory For Peter Obi - Soludo Opens Up

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has promised to consult with the Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo, on solutions to tackle the challenges facing the country.

Obi made the promise on Monday during a meeting with the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) at Protea Hotel in Ikeja, the Lagos State capital.

The former Anambra governor said Soludo knows and has the solutions to the problems bedeviling the country.

He (Soludo) knows and he has the solutions so I need to consult him to help me,” he said.

Obi also promised to adopt the Bangladesh model of 35% Affirmative Action, noting that he would create an atmosphere where 50 percent of Nigerian women would be included in its National Productivity Programme.

Recall that governor Soludo had in a television interview said the investments Obi left in government are worth close to nothing.

Following the comment made by Soludo, supporters of the LP candidate known as Obidients took to social media to attack the governor over his controversial statement.

Reacting to the criticisms in an article, the governor said Obi can’t win the 2023 presidential election as there are candidates seriously contesting for President.

However, Obi replied that he did his little as governor of Anambra and urged Soludo to do his best in the state as an economics professor.
