The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has arrived in Gombe State for the party’s 2023 presidential campaign rally.

Naija News reports that the former Vice President arrived in the North East state with his running mate and Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, members of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organization and party leaders.

In a video seen by our correspondent, Atiku was received at the local airport by a mammoth crowd of his supporters and party members before he moved to the Gombe Township Stadium, venue of the rally.

Watch the video below.

Recall that the Director General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organization, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state, had in a statement on Sunday said the party would hold its campaign rally in Gombe today.

The Sokoto governor had urged all elected members and party faithful to be present at the campaign rally.

He had said, “This is to cordially invite all elected PDP Governors, Members of PDP National Working Committee, National Assembly Members, PDP NEC Members, Members of PDP Board of Trustees, State Chapters, Former Governors, Former Ministers, PDP Candidates, and Stakeholders to the Gombe State Presidential Campaign Rally.”

PDP recently held its presidential campaign rally in Borno, where Atiku vowed to ensure the people of the state feel the presence of government if elected President in 2023.
