Peter Obi Keeps Mum As Soludo In Explosive Letter Says He Can’t Win 2023 Election

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi is yet to react or respond to the ‘letter bomb’ statement in which Governor Charles Soludo gave a verdict on his 2023 presidential ambition.

Naija News recalls Soludo in a lengthy article on Monday had submitted that Obi can’t win the 2023 presidency.

The Anambra Governor in his article titled “History Beckons and I will not be Silent (Part 1)” said Obi knows the game he is playing, they also know the game but one thing that is clear is that the LP candidate can’t win the 2023 polls.

The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria added further that Obi is paving the way for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Tinubu to have a clear path to the presidency because he is taking votes away from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Among other things said in the letter Soludo also stated that Obi may not even come third in the 2023 presidential race because elections are not won on social media.

There have been various reactions for and against the strongly-worded letter from Soludo but Naija News observed that as of Tuesday morning, Obi is yet to personally give a response or react to the statement about his 2023 presidential ambition.

You Can’t Dent Obi’s Image

However, in a statement on Monday night, the Special Adviser to Obi on Public Affairs, Katch Ononuju, said Soludo’s comments will not and cannot dent Obi’s image and popularity which the Nigerian youths have given to him.

Ononuju added that the attacks by South East politicians such as Soludo show that the LP presidential candidate is a national project.

He said, “Peter Obi is indeed a Nigerian project, politicians from the South East including his governor have made statements attacking him in public without denting his reputation nor his popularity. His resilience is due to the trust and support of Nigerians. Peter Obi is a national project, politicians from the Southeast also attack him.

“Youths are supporting Peter Obi because he’s the most competent and trustworthy candidate and the only one amongst the candidates that we can hold accountable. Tinubu and Atiku made several promises to Nigerians when they conspired to install Buhari.”
