Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea Man United And Their Potential Last-16 Opponents

Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool have all secured the last-16 tickets having fought tooth and nail to maintain the top two spots in their respective group.

The Premier League will be represented by Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool in the round of 16 after the world cup.

For the EPL teams in the Champions League, Antonio Conte’s men secured their position with a victory against Marseille at the Stade Vélodrome.

The teams that the four English clubs might play in the round of 16 are starting to become clear.

Tottenham, who finished first despite being thought to finish second in the group, could face either Belgium’s Club Brugge or Italian’s Inter Milan.

Antonio Conte’s team will also be watching Wednesday’s games to determine who their opponents might be, which could be AC Milan, Red Bull Salzburg, RB Leipzig, Shakhtar Donetsk, Borussia Dortmund, Benfica, or Paris Saint-Germain.

Liverpool came in second place in their group and will now face the next group’s top seed. They might be matched up with Porto, Benfica, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, RB Leipzig, or PSG.

Brugge, Inter, Frankfurt, Milan, Leipzig, Shakhtar, Benfica, and PSG are possible opponents for The Citizen.

Chelsea, similar to Tottenham, could face Brugge, Inter, Eintracht Frankfurt, Leipzig, Shakhtar, Dortmund, Benfica or PSG.

Manchester United and Arsenal would need to seal their final games with a victory to progress to the last 16 of the Europa League, but if otherwise, they would progress to last 32 to face a champions league dropout such as Ajax, Bayer Leverkusen, Barcelona, Sporting Lisbon, Milan, Salzburg, Leipzig, Shakhtar, Sevilla, Juventus and Maccabi Haifa in a playoff.

The draw for the next round will take place in Switzerland on Monday, so the four Premier League clubs won’t have to wait long to know their fate.
