Why Senegal Are Not World Cup Favourites – Mane

Bayern Munich player, Sadio Mane has opined that Senegal may not go too far in the coming 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The Senegal International believes his country will not be one of the contenders of the World Cup tournament in Qatar.

Mane cited France and Spain as the favourites for the tournament in Qatar in an interview with RMC Sport, saying, “I don’t see Senegal as a favourite because there are other nations very far ahead of Senegal like France, Spain.. We will go there with no cold and try to do what we have used to do.”

In 93 games for Senegal, the striker has scored 34 goals and in 10 Bundesliga games this season, he has five goals.

Senegal, who have qualified for three FIFA World Cups are in Group A with Qatar, Ecuador and the Netherlands.
