NFF: Gusau Appoints Three-Man Panel On National Teams Preparations

The newly elected president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has established a three-man advisory panel to help prepare age-grade national teams for upcoming major international competitions.

Alhaji Aminu Balele Kurfi, a renowned football administrator and the head of the Katsina State Football Association, is a member of this panel, along with sports marketing expert Hon. Bukola Olopade.

Naija News recalls that the Tanzanian team will be up against the U23 National Team, also known as the Olympic Eagles, in a two-leg second-round match, with the first leg taking place on Sunday in Dar es Salaam and the second leg the following Saturday in Ibadan.

By winning their respective WAFU B tournaments earlier this year, the U20 and U17 Boys teams have already qualified for their respective continental competitions. In Niamey, Niger Republic in May, the U20 boys’ Flying Eagles team won everything, and in Cape Coast, Ghana in June, the U17 boys’ Golden Eaglets team triumphed.

The U17 Africa Cup of Nations will take place from April 8 through April 30, 2023, while the U20 Africa Cup of Nations will be held in February 2023.
