NFF: Gusau Arrives India To Support Flamingo Ahead Of U-17 WWC Semi-Final Clash

The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Musa Gusau has arrived in India to support the Flamingos of Nigeria when they face Columbia on Wednesday.

The NFF boss will lead the support group when the U-17 women’s national team, face the South American side in the semi-final of the ongoing FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in India.

Naija News recalls that Bankole Olowookere’s girls fought tooth and nail with the Americans in a game that ended 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

The Colombians, on the other hand, defeated African rivals Tanzania 3-0 to advance to the Semi-final where they will face a talented Flamingos team for the one remaining spot in the under-17 World Cup.

The winner will take either Germany or Spain in the last game of the tournament.

The tie will see the Flamingos advance to the final for the first time if they earn a victory at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Goa, on Wednesday.

Usani Extols The Courage Of The Flamingos

Meanwhile, at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, defender, Miracle Usani is confident that her team will defeat Colombia in the semifinal match.

Usani stated in a conversation with FIFA: “I believe we can get to the final,” she said.

“If we can beat USA, I don’t see any obstacle standing in our way.” she added.
