[BREAKING] #NigeriaDecides: Labour Party DG Loses Ekiti LGA Votes To Tinubu

The Labour Party (LP) has urged its supporters and members of the public to ignore a purported campaign rally timetable that has gone viral on social media.

The party in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Arabambi Abayomi said the LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi never authorized the timetable.

He added that the party leadership also didn’t give approval for the said timetable.

“Labour Party’s attention has been drawn to a purported OBI -DATTI presidential campaign rallies timetable in circulation.

“I hereby deny the authenticity of this campaign council programme, as Labour Party’s leadership is not aware of it,” he stated.

The LP spokesperson added that the campaign council has not given any go-ahead for the timetable in circulation hence it should be ignored along with its contents.

“Likewise, no one from the Campaign Council has sought the nod of the party’s leadership over the same subject matter,” the LP spokesman added.

Obi Will Give Major Appointments To Women

The National Women Leader of Labour Party (LP), Dugu Manuga, has assured fellow women that the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, will fulfill the 35% affirmative action, if elected.

According to her, the foresight of Obi, especially in the involvement of women in the campaign, is commendable and it’s evidence that he would meet the 35 percent affirmative action if elected.

Manuga said that Obi’s promise to give women 35-40 appointments will be a replica of what he did when he was governor of Anambra State, adding that it was 40% he gave to women participation then and not just that he gave strong positions to women that traditionally they don’t give women.

Naija News reports that the LP women leader who was speaking during the State Labour Party and ‘Obidient’ women mobilisation engagement held in Gombe state, said for Obi’s presidency to be realised women need to take ownership of the electioneering process.
