'Atiku's Quest For Presidency Will Soon End' - Fani-Kayode Reacts To Tinubu, G5 Govs Alliance

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has said that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar is affiliated with the recently detained terrorists’ negotiator, Tukur Mamu and his principal, Ahmad Gumi.

Recall that Naija News had earlier reported that the Department of State Services (DSS) arrested Mamu, on Wednesday.

Mamu, who was reportedly arrested at the Cairo International Airport on Tuesday and repatriated back to Nigeria, was picked up by DSS from the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano upon his deportation from Egypt

Mamu was said to be on his way to Saudi Arabia with his family members for lesser Hajj before he was arrested and detained by Egyptian authorities for 24 hours.

He was arrested by heavily armed operatives stationed at the entrance of the international wing of the Kano at about 1:55 pm.

Further investigations have revealed that the DSS found incriminating materials when they raided the lead negotiator’s home on Thursday.

Speaking on Mamu’s arrest in a statement on Friday, FFK has however alleged that Atiku, Mamu and Gumi are associates.

He wrote: “Mamu and Gumi are associates of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the Waziri Adamawa and the presidential candidate of the opposition PDP

“Are close NOT merely because they took a picture but because they have TRAVELLED together all over the country in private jets on several occasions.

“I say they are close to Atiku Abubakar because they supported him and campaigned for him in the 2019 presidential election and they are supporting him and lobbying and campaigning for him again for the 2023 presidential election.”

The former minister went on to state that Mamu and Gumi are amongst those who convinced Atiku to run for presidency so power could remain in the North.

He alleged that the trio’s closeness bordered on the hatred they have for President Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress and the federal government.

FFK insisted that their relationship is profound and should therefore be investigated by security agencies.
