A former Minister of Transportation, Ebenezer Babatope, on Monday, said the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi can not win the 2023 presidential election.

According to Babatope, the forthcoming election would be between the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Babatope noted that Obi would be denied victory because his party does not cover the whole country.

He further stated that Obi can not claim to have the support of the Labour movement in their quest to take over power in 2023.

The former Governor of Anambra State would be hoping to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari.

I Won’t Support APC Presidential Candidate – Babatope

Babatope in an interview with Daily Independent noted that he would not support the presidential candidate of APC, Bola Tinubu.

The former minister revealed this when asked if he would be supporting Tinubu, a fellow Yoruba man.

Babatope linked his stand to the differences in their political parties despite knowing Tinubu for more than 50 years.

The former minister who is a member of the PDP, identified with the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

He further stated that the former vice president would win the 2023 presidential election by the grace of God.
