2023: Reno Omokri Reacts To Tinubu’s Meeting With Jonathan

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has reacted to the meeting between the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and former president, Goodluck Jonathan.

Naija News earlier reported that the former Governor of Lagos State on Tuesday visited Jonathan alongside his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

Five APC Governors who followed Tinubu to the meeting include Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (Kwara); Mohammed Badaru (Jigawa), Bello Matawalle (Zamfara), and Simon Lalong (Plateau).

Reacting to the development in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Wednesday, Omokri applauded Jonathan for welcoming Tinubu to his residence despite their frosty relationship.

He claimed that the APC presidential candidate spent the five years between 2010-2015 insulting, attacking and lying against Jonathan and also contributed to his exit from the office.

Omokri added that Tinubu continued to insult the former President even after he left office, adding that Jonathan never bore a grudge against the former Governor of Lagos.

The former presidential aide, therefore, described Jonathan as the best leader that Nigeria ever had.

He wrote: “HE@GEJonathan. The best leader that Nigeria ever had. Look at his Godly gesture. Bola @officialABAT spent the 5 years between 2010-2015 insulting, attacking and lying against Jonathan. Even after GEJ left office, he continued. Yet, Jonathan never bore a grudge!”
