‘After Independence Meetings’ – Shehu Sani Laments After Photos Of Obasanjo, Obi And Wike Together In London Surfaces

The former Senator representing Kaduna Central district, Shehu Sani has reacted to photos of former President, Olusegun Obasanjo with some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors, and the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi in London.

Naija News earlier reported that photos from a meeting which had the attendance of some governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with the former president, Obasanjo and LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi in London surfaced on social media.

However, the reasons for their meeting have not been ascertained, but there are speculations that it might be connected to issues regarding the 2023 presidential elections.

Those in the meeting include the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu.

Others present at the meeting include former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke and Senator Olaka Nwogu.

Reacting to the development via the micro blogging platform, Twitter on Thursday, the former lawmaker lamented about how meetings about matters concerning the country held by its leaders had always been in the United Kingdom post and before independence.

He wrote; ‘‘Before independence, meetings in London.After independence, meetings in London.”
