Again, Osun APC Suspends 26 More Members Over Alleged Anti-party Activities

The All Progressives Congress (APC) risks suffering the same fate that led to its defeat in Osun State in twenty other states.

Some state chapters of the party are suffering crises that emanant from primaries, and supremacy battles.

Despite the plea by President Muhammadu Buhari the National Leader of the party, the aggrieved members are not ready to sheath their swords.

Some of the aggrieved members have dumped the party for the Peoples Democratic Party, Labour Party, New Nigeria Peoples Party and other parties.

There are reports that some might remain in the ruling party, but might work against the party in 2023.

The APC had earlier set up a reconciliation committee with some claiming that members of the panel didn’t visit their states.

According to Vanguard, the ruling party is suffering a crisis in Lagos, Kano, Gombe, Kaduna, Bauchi, Zamfara, Kwara, Kebbi, Ondo, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Rivers, Cross River, Imo, Benue, Nasarawa, Abia and Akwa Ibom.

This is coming after Naija News reported that some executives of the party in Kaduna State dumped the party.

One of the executives while giving the reason for dumping the party, claimed that there was the imposition of candidates in the party’s primary.

He further stated that he did swear an oath for his office to be unjust to members of the party.

APC would be hoping to resolve the differences in the party ahead of the 2023 general elections with a plan to retain power in 2023.
