Nigerian comedian cum actor Broda Shaggi has revealed why he tackled the Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, over his constant sermon on Twitter.

In a post shared on the microblogging platform, the police PRO said any officer who slaps any citizen has committed an offence of assault.

He said no officer is allowed to slap or flog any individual adding that they are only allowed to use the baton or teaser or spray.

In his words: “Any policeman who slaps you has committed an offense of assault. No policeman is allowed to slap or flog u. He has items to apply minimum force on you as stipulated by law but not slap or whip. It’s only d baton or teaser or spray a policeman can use on y while duty not slap”.

Reacting, Broda Shaggi criticized the Police officer, stating that both men, women, old and young are being assaulted at all times and nothing has ever been done about it.

He noted that the PRO was posting the tweet for nothing and if he really cares, there should be a punishment given to any policeman who slaps a citizen.

Speaking further, the actor said many people are tired of the bullying from the Nigerian police force and nothing is being done about it.

Shaggi said he has been slapped, beaten and thrown into a cell before for doing nothing, questioning if everyone would become celebrities before they are respected.

He said: “Oga you go must come on bird app dey yarn dust. Your guys dey slap people everyday. Both women and men, old and young and nothing has ever been done about it. You are just tweeting all these for nothing bro. If you really care, Let’s see the punishment given to any policeman who slaps a citizen.
