Atiku Not A Liar: Dino Melaye Replies Tinubu, Mock APC Candidate

Former Kogi lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye has tackled the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu over his comment on former Vice President Atiku Abubakar describing him as a liar.

Melaye also mocked Tinubu, saying his memory might be wobbling as he again made reference to the viral video in which the APC candidate forgot the name of his party.

It will be recalled that Tinubu in a statement on Saturday had described Atiku, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential flagbearer as a liar.

Tinubu in a statement released by his media aide, Tunde Rahman said Nigerians should feel great pity and sadness for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

The former Lagos State Governor said by Atiku’s desperate attempt to win the election by stoking religious bias, he has reduced himself to uttering baseless lies on national television.

Tinubu added that Atiku has no business raising the issue of a Muslim-Muslim ticket except as a hypocrite.

Recall that Atiku had, during an interview with Arise TV, condemned Tinubu for picking a Muslim as his running mate for the 2023 election.

However, Melaye in his reaction took to his Twitter account on Saturday to mock and reply Tinubu saying if the APC candidate could forget his party’s name, then he could have forgotten what transpired in 2007.

He wrote: “Atiku is not a liar Asiwaju Tinubu. Want to tell Tinubu that since he can forget the name of his party where he is the presidential candidate, he may have forgotten what transpired in 2007. Atiku’s memory is intact and not wobbling. Ask Buhari if Tinubu wanted to be VP in 2015.”
