'We Are Devastated' - Osinbajo Reacts To Death Of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya

Barely four days after the surgery of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Duchess Hospital Lagos, the management of the health facility has given an update on his current condition.

In a press statement on Tuesday the Medical Director, Doyin Dosunmu-Ogunbi said Osinbajo’s post-operative care has proceeded satisfactorily so far.

He said the Vice President, who had surgery on his right femur (thigh bone), is now receiving physiotherapy and moving around pretty well on crutches.

According to Dosunmu-Ogunbi, the aim of the current phase of treatment was to reduce weight-bearing on his right leg, while promoting healing and rehabilitation towards his usual active lifestyle.

He added that they would continue to update the public as Osinbajo progresses with his treatment.

He stated: “All aspects of the Vice President’s post-operative care have proceeded satisfactorily so far.  His multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and allied health practitioners are extremely pleased with his progress.

“We will continue to update the public as he progresses with his treatment.”

Recall that Osinbajo was hospitalised last Saturday, 16th July, for a surgical procedure on account of recurrent pain in the leg following an injury he sustained while playing squash.
