Benue State Police Command on Thursday paraded four suspected armed bandits arrested at Ugbema, in the Buruku Local Govt area of the state, with 300 live ammunition.

The Command Commissioner, Wale Abbas, through the Public Relations officer SP, Catherine Anene, told journalists that the command’s outfit of operation Zenda, who was on a stop and search duty, arrested one of the bandits with 180 live ammunition, claiming he was sent to deliver them to Cameron.

According to the PPRO, the suspect, upon interrogation, later led men of the command to his leaders, where an Ex Councilor in Vandekya local and two others were arrested with 120 more live ammunitions.

The PPRO, on behalf of the command, disclosed that further investigation has commenced to unravel their major supplier and adequate prosecution.
