Petty traders on Saturday thronged the venue of the Peoples Democratic Party’s special convention, Moshood Abiola Stadium to make brisk sales.

The traders would be hoping to make great sales if the presidential primary of the main opposition party was eventually held today and tomorrow.

As early as possible, the traders had made their way to the pathways and venue of the PDP convention.

Though there are claims that the PDP might shift its presidential primary, the trader is not moved as they plan to capitalise on the crowd that would storm the convention.

Meanwhile, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party has called an emergency meeting to discuss the possible postponement of its convention scheduled for today, Saturday.

It was gathered that the main agenda of the meeting is the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to extend the deadline for the conclusion of party primaries.

The PDP will during the meeting deliberate on if the extension will give the ruling All Progressives Congress an undue advantage in the presidential election next February.
