EFCC Moves Against Rivers State Accountant General, 54 Others Over N435bn Fraud

The Economic Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) has announced that it is in search of the Rivers State Accountant-General, Fubara Siminayi, alongside 54 others.

Siminayi and 58 other persons were declared wanted over alleged N435 billion fraud.

Wilson Uwujaren, the commission’s head of media and publicity, announced the development on Tuesday May 24.

Uwujaren alerted the public to help the EFCC with useful information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects.

He said: “We call on anyone with useful information as to the whereabouts of the Account-General to contact any of the Agency’s offices or the nearest police station or other security agencies.”

Meanwhile, a video of former governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha praying fervently as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) invaded his home has surfaced online.

Recall that Naija News earlier reported that the anti-corruption agency had forcefully broke into the Senator representing Imo-central house in Abuja after laying seige to his residence. Read more
