Former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to the mirage of challenges that have bedeviled Nigeria in recent times.

Taking to his micro-blogging account, Twitter on Wednesday, Sani lamented the fuel crisis and electricity problems which have resulted in the collapse of the national grid twice within 24 hours.

On the international scene, he also complained about the Russian invasion of Ukraine which has resulted in an ongoing war amidst international tension.

The former lawmaker however added that none of the issues were captured in the usual new year prophecies which clergymen release at the beginning of each year.

He wrote: “At the beginning of the year, none of the ‘Prophets’ prophesied Ukraine, national grid failure and energy crisis.”

Meanwhile, the Command of the Nigeria Police Force in Borno State has apprehended two men of the Nigerian Army over alleged involvement in a robbery operation.

The Army personnel, Naija News understands were nabbed alongside three other civilians for involvement in the criminal acts.

The five suspects were said to have robbed a Point of Sale operator identified as Yusuf Usman.

Confirming their arrest in a statement released on Wednesday, Commissioner of Police in the state, Abdu Umar said the suspects had committed the offence on February 6 at GSM Market, Bulumkutu, in Maiduguri.
