Goods Worth Milions Of Naira Destroyed As Fire Razes Popular Lagos Market

A fire outbreak has occurred at a shopping plaza in the popular Ladipo spare parts market, Oshodi area of Lagos State.

It was learned that shops and valuables worth millions of naira were destroyed in the fire incident that occurred in the early hours of Saturday, February 26, 2023.

Reacting to the tragic incident, an official of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency said a one-storey building, the Aguiyi Ironsi Plaza, was razed by the fire.

The LASEMA official added that no casualty was recorded in the inferno because it happened early in the morning.

As of the time of filing this report, men of the Lagos State Fire Service, LASEMA and other first responders have been deployed to the scene.

Also, operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have been deployed to maintain calm in the area.
