Tension Among Students As ASUU Takes Final Decision

Students of Universities across the country are currently worried over the the ongoing meeting by members of Academic Staff Union of Universities.

Naija News had earlier reported that the union would take the final decision whether to embark on a strike or not at the meeting.

Report gathered by this newspaper has it that members of the National Executive Council which comprises of national, zonal officers, and branch chairpersons are currently in a meeting.

As at the time of filing this report, the union are yet to reach a decision on the strike.

ASUU has expressed grievances over the failure of the Federal Government to fulfill some of the agreements it made as far back as 2009.

The union on November 15, 2021 had given President Muhammadu Buhari-led govermment a three-week ultimatum over the failure to meet the demands.
