The wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha, on Wednesday paid a visit to Kano State to commiserate with the government over the death of famous cleric, Ahmad Bamba and of 5-year-old Hanifa Abubakar.

Speaking to newsmen at the Kano government House, Buhari’s wife called for adequate punishment for Hanifa’s killers.

Aisha disclosed that she is purposely on a private visit to register her condolence in person with the two families.

She said: “I am here on a private visit to commiserate with the governor of Kano and his wife; the emir of Kano and the good people of the state over the loss of Sheik Ahmad Bamba and also the innocent Hanifa Abubakar. We hope and pray that justice will be done for her.

“As a mother, I have children and grandchildren already in primary school. They trust their teachers so much and so do we too. So, in a situation whereby our children are not safe in their schools, that means society has become something else. I think the punishment should be done in other to satisfy all the matters in Nigeria.”

Kano: Yemi Osinbajo Visits Hanifa Abubakar’s Family

The Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday visited the family of the five-year-old Hanifa Abubakar who was abducted and murdered by Tanko Abdulmalik.

Osinbajo visited the family in Kano State to commiserate with them over the murder of their child.

Recall that the proprietor of Noble Kids Academy Nursery and Primary School, Kwanar Dakata in Nasarawa Local Government of Kano State, Abdulmalik abducted Hanifa last December.

Tanko after being suspected to have abducted the little girl killed her five days after collecting part payment of the ₦6million ransom he demanded.
