Bandit Terrorists Clash With Security Operatives, Vigilantes In Zamfara Community

Security operatives alongside local vigilantes (Yan Sakai) on Sunday clashed with bandit terrorists in Magami town of Gusau Local Government Area of in Zamfara State.

According to reports the bandits attacked the community on motorcycles but they were repelled by security operatives.

It was gathered that residents had gotten information about the impending attack by bandits, informing security operatives to lay ambush for them.

“Residents were put on edge and some of the people started scampering to safety. Traders had closed shops and ran to their respective houses to prepare for any eventuality.

“They came on motorbikes and massed up close to Sabon Garin Dutsen Kura, a community located 15 km east of Magami town.

“When the residents got the wind of the impending attack, they informed the security operatives stationed in Magami.

“The security forces and the vigilantes took position near Eid Prayer ground east of the town and the armed criminals arrived shortly afterwards.

“A gunfight ensued and the criminals were forced to retreat,” a resident told Daily Trust.
