Former Ekiti Local Govt Chairman, Omooba Bamidele Kidnapped

Unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have whisked away a former local government chairman, Bamidele Adegoroye in Ekiti State.

Naija News learned the kidnappers abducted the former Chairman of Ilejemeje LG, Omooba Bamidele Adegoroye along Iludun-Isan Ekiti road.

The chairman was reportedly kidnapped on Sunday evening around Iludun-Isan village while on his way to a meeting, Naija News learnt.

It was gathered that the gunmen double-crossed the chairman’s vehicle and whisked him away to an unknown destination.

Isan Ekiti is the hometown of Governor Kayode Fayemi.

Omooba Adegoroye, who was said to be coming from Ado Ekiti, was kidnapped alongside one of his boys popularly known as Alfa.

Meanwhile, unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a former Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Lawman Duruji.

He was reported to have been kidnapped on Saturday at Ehime Mbano local government area while returning from an event.

Apart from him, Naija News gathered the gunmen also abducted a popular businessman known as Ezzybee while he was on his way to watch a local football game.

Ezzybee was abducted on Sunday.

The spate of separate kidnappings which rocked the state over the weekend between Saturday and Sunday also saw the wife of an ex-chairman of Okigwe Local Government Area, Frank Onwunere abducted.
