NECO Begins 2022 Common Entrance Exams Registration

The National Examinations Council, NECO on Friday announced the commencement of registration for the 2022 National Common Entrance Examination for admission into JSS I of Federal Unity Colleges.

Naija News understands only pupils who would not be less than 10 years old by September 2022 are eligible for the examination.

A statement signed by the NECO Registrar, Dantani Wushishi, noted that registration would close on April 23.

While encouraging parents to visit the website or any NECO office nearest to them for more information on the registration process, Wushishi stated clearly that registration for the examination would be done only on the council’s official website: www.neco.gov.ng.

He said: “National Examinations Council wishes to inform the general public that registration for the 2022 National Common Entrance Examination for Admission into Federal Government Unity Colleges has commenced.

“Registration fee is ₦4,500 per candidate, while payment should be made into NECO treasury single account through ATM card, bank branch, USSD, internet banking or wallet.”

Meanwhile, comic Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele has expressed worry over children in boarding schools following the death of 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni, who died under controversial circumstances.

Naija News earlier reported that the management of Dowen College on Thursday, 27th shared its plans of a new chapter weeks after the police cleared 5 students over the death of Sylvester Oromoni.

The school stated that due to the incident, they are reviewing some of their policies to ensure better oversight functions within the school, adding that authority won’t be hesitant to relieve anyone responsible for any administrative lapses.

Reacting to the development, Funke Akindele via her Instagram story questioned if parents of wards attending the school have withdrawn their wards.

She added that she is worried for children in boarding school as a lot of things go on there.
