Reveal Your Sources Of Wealth, Adebanjo Tells Tinubu, Akande

Leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Ayo Adebanjo, has asked a former governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to reveal his source of wealth.

Adebanjo made this known in a statement issued on Thursday while reacting to the allegation made by former Osun governor, Bisi Akande, that he pressurised Tinubu to build his Lekki home.

The Afenifere leader advised Tinubu to disclose the source of his wealth with which he bankrolled President Muhammadu Buhari’s election and the All Progressives Congress (APC) elections in the Southwest.

Adebanjo also asked the APC national leader to disclose how he bought his various properties and businesses in Lagos and other parts of the country.

He also called on Tinubu to allow the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to probe him and to verify his properties in the country and abroad.

“Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the great philanthropist should also disclose the source of his wealth with which he bankrolled the elections of APC in the Southwest and that of General Muhammad Buhari and his various properties in Lagos. He should also authorize the EFCC to verify such details as I have done above,” he said.

Speaking further, Adebanjo asked Akande to stop “throwing stones while staying in a glass house”, alleging that Tinubu helped the former APC National Chairman build his Ila-Orogun home, other properties in Lagos and abroad.

He, however, challenged Akande to disclose the source financing his properties in Nigeria and abroad.

“His house in Ibadan was also alleged to have been built by the contractor that built the secretariat in Osogbo when he was the Governor of Osun State.

“I hereby challenge Chief Bisi Akande to clear the air by disclosing the source of financing these properties as I have done above,” he added.
