Omokri Makes Fresh Comment About Tinubu's Health Condition

Former presidential media aide, Reno Omokri has mockingly suggested to Obi Cubana to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) and take pictures with President Muhamadu Buhari so his ‘sins’ can be forgiven.

Omokri made the submission on Wednesday in a post where he reacted to the arrest of the billionaire socialite by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Cubana was picked on Monday for alleged offences of money laundering and tack fraud, Naija News recalls but Omokri said the EFCC should have gone after the APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu if it really wanted to arrest anyone involved in money laundering.

The former presidential aide said there is already evidence of money laundering against Tinubu and the embattled former head of the Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT), DCP Abba Kyari but the EFCC has chosen to look away.

He accused the EFCC of double standards in its operations.

See the post he released on Facebook: “Why are EFCC after Obi Cubana and not Bola Tinubu? We provided evidence of Tinubu’s corruption to the EFCC, including photos of bullion vans going into his home on Election Day, contrary to the Money Laundering Act.

“Where is the evidence against Obi Cubana? Even with the damning evidence the FBI provided against Abba Kyari, he has not been invited to the EFCC, nor is he under arrest.

“So, again, why is Obi with EFCC and not Tinubu or Kyari? Is it because Obi is Igbo and they are not?

“This is obviously double standards! I would counsel Cubana to join and donate to APC, like FFK, and not only would his ’sins’ (if any) be forgiven, he can even take a photo with Buhari at Aso Rock. Yeye baff una!”

Meanwhile, a recent report suggesting that Nigerian businessman, Obi Cubana is still in the custody of the Anti-graft Agency has emerged.

Naija News earlier disclosed that reports had emerged that the socialite had been set free and had also made a post via his Instagram page thanking everyone for their support.

However, Saharareporters claimed that the businessman is still in the custody of the EFCC and has been granted administrative bail which is customary of the institution after holding an individual for 24hrs.

The source quoted said: “It is routine that once anyone is detained beyond a day, we give ‘Administrative Bail’ conditions but he is still with them because he hasn’t met the conditions.

“He has not been released yet contrary to some reports,” a source in the EFCC told the publication.

The conditions for the administrative bail have however not been verified.
