Shehu Sani Reacts To NASCO Boss Sponsoring Terrorism
The former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Shehu Sani, has reacted to the allegations that the late founder of NASCO group, Ahmed Idris Nasreddin sponsors terrorism in the north.
Naija News had earlier reported that investigative reports exposed in detail how Nasreddin and Yakubu Musa Kafanchan, also known as Sheikh Yakubu Musa Katsina, an ally of Nigeria’s Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami funded Islamic terror cells as far back as 2002.
The investigative report which was carried out by Nigerian journalist, David Hundeyin, for West Africa Weekly, detailed how this individual founded funded the activities of people like Kabiru Sokoto, the mastermind of the Christmas Day bombing of the St Theresa Roman Catholic church on December 25, 2011, in Madalla, Niger State which killed 37 Christians.
Sani in his reaction to the allegation on his Facebook account said more fact is needed to convince the public on the report.
He wrote, “It’s doubtful that a reputable company like NASCO, that has contributed immensely to the industrial and economic development of the North and Nigeria as a whole, provided employment opportunities for thousands, assisted families and decades, remain steadfast in the face of all our political, security and economic challenges, can now be accused of funding terrorism.
“More facts are needed otherwise let’s not destroy those who believe and still stand with us while others have left for long”.
