Bandits: Buhari Issues Fresh Order To Nigerian Military
President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Nigerian military to speak to bandits in a language they will understand.
The president gave the order in a statement on Saturday by his special assistant on media and publicity, Garba Shehu.
Buhari gave the order in reaction to the latest bandit killings in Zamfara and Kaduna States.
He called for the crushing response to the killing of innocent citizens in the rural communities.
President Buhari expressed the nation’s sorrow over the continuous loss of lives in the country.
He urged security agencies to do everything possible to prevent the recurrence of attacks with impunity.
The president, however, said the nation, its military and the entire population needed to summon the courage required to defeat the bandits and terrorists.
According to him, the military and other security agencies were now working on new methods and policies that were already yielding good results in many of the troubled parts of the country.
Buhari, who condemned some politicians making utterances on security, merely seeking applause, advised them to join the ongoing genuine efforts aimed at finding lasting solutions to the challenges confronting the nation.
