NDLEA Seals Hotel Of Former Ebonyi Governor, Sam Egwu

The hotel of former Governor of Ebonyi State and Senator Representing Ebonyi North Senatorial zone, Dr. Sam Egwu, Grace Court Hotel and Suite, Abakalilki has been sealed.

Naija News gathered that the hotel was sealed on Monday morning by operatives of the Nigeria Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over allegations that the hotel had become safe heaven for illicit drug peddlers and consumers.

It was learned that the anti-drug agency, had earlier on Sunday, arrested some suspects in possession of a large number of hard drugs in the hotel, which led to the sealing of the premises on Monday.

The Deputy Commandant in charge of Operations and Intelligence of the Agency, Ibrahim Bashiru led the operation.

Bashiru later said he was not in the position to speak to journalists on the matter, adding that the agency will release an official statement in due course.

One of the operatives who were part of the operation was seen carrying many mobile phones suspected to be owned by those arrested.
