Adams Oshiomhole, Philip Shaibu Meet In Edo

The immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, met with the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu at the weekend.

Recall that both politicians have been in a war of words over Oshiomhole’s refusal to support Governor Godwin Obaaseki for a second term in office and his disqualification from the APC governorship primary last year.

However, at the burial of former Secretary to the Edo State Government (SSG), Dr. Simon Imuekheme, both politicians were seen exchanging pleasantries.

When Oshiomhole entered the church and was greeted with a loud ovation and Shaibu immediately rose to greet him.

Later they were momentarily engaged in a discussion and became the cynosure of all eyes before going their ways.

The deputy governor while speaking complimented Oshiomhole which was also reciprocated by the former governor.

Recall that Shaibu had said that Oshiomhole was attempting to reintroduce godfatherism which they both fought against.

He, however, said the former governor taught him a lot about politics and he has a good relationship with him.

“Adams Oshiomhole taught me all I know now politically.

“He made me stand my ground and help us end godfatherism. I have no quarrel with Oshiomhole,” Shaibu had said.
