20 Escape Death As Explosion Rocks Kano Again

An explosion in Magami village in the Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State has led to the death of not less than seven children.

The Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs in the state, Abubakar Dauran, who confirmed the incident said the victims ignorantly picked an explosive device in the bush when they went searching for firewood.

Channels TV disclosed that the explosive device exploded when they were playing it and six were said to have died instantly while others were left with various degrees of injury.

The kids that sustained injuries were immediately taken to an undisclosed hospital in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, for treatment.

However, one of the victims taken to the hospital also died, thereby increasing the death rate to seven.

He said the state had put measures in place to prevent future occurrences of such an incident.

In another development, seven people escaped death while others died when a bus plunged into a waterway of a community in India.

Reports have it that no fewer than thirty-seven people died in the incident which happened on Tuesday, February 16 in Satna, Madhya Pradesh.
