The #EndSARS protest which turned bloody on Tuesday in Ibadan, Oyo State capital has seen no fewer than eight people, including police officers killed in Ojoo area of the state.
According to reports, the incident started when a police officer allegedly shot one of the protesters in the leg, which led to a clash between policemen and angry youths.
The angry youths decided to burn the Ojoo Police Station, while 10 vehicles were set ablaze.
An eye witness identified as Deji Akinwande, said, “The incident started when a police officer shot one of the protesters in the leg, and this made the youths to lynch the police officer and thereafter the station was burnt together with some of their cars. So, the Police in retaliation shot some of the protesters”.
