The federal government has announced that the Eko Bridge as well as the Marine Beach Bridge both in Lagos State, will be reopened on Monday, October 19, 2020.

The two bridges had earlier been shut down to traffic in March and May respectively so as to allow repair works to be carried out on them.

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola however on Saturday, directed that both bridges be reopened to traffic as from Monday.

The Minister’s directive was contained in a statement by the ministry’s Director of Press and Publicity, Boade Akinola, titled, ‘After Emergency Repairs By FG, Fashola Approves Reopening Of Eko, Marine Bridges On Monday’.
