US President Donald Trump and his rival Joe Biden have exchanged heated words in the first round of debates ahead of November’s presidential election.

Candidates competed on issues related to the Korona epidemic, the economy and climate change.

Mr Trump said there was a question mark over Mr Biden’s son’s business in Russia, and Biden called him a “hunting dog” for President Vladimir Putin.

Candidates also called each other unpleasant names, with the president calling the former vice president a mentally retarded man, and he also called him the laziest president the United States has ever had in history.

According to Joe Biden, “The fact is that everything he is saying so far is simply a lie. I’m not here to call out his lies. Everybody knows he’s a liar,”

But while Mr Biden has vowed to accept the election results, President Trump says he will see how things turn out.
