Military Arrests Notorious Sara-Suka Cult Leader, 10 Others In Plateau State

Hussaini Isah believed to be the leader of the ‘Sara-suka’ cult group has been arrested by the Special Military Task Force in Plateau State.

The cult group is notorious for terrorizing and killing residents in some parts of the Jos North Local Government Area.

Also arrested by the military were ten others suspected to be among the criminals operating in some parts of the state.

Maj.-Gen. Chukwuemeka Okonkwo, Force Commander, made this known while parading the suspects on Saturday. He added that weapons such as knives, cutlasses, charms, among others were recovered from those arrested.

Okonkwo made it known that the troops will not relax in their efforts to rid the communities of all forms of crime, criminal elements, and general insecurity.

“We shall not rest until petty crimes, killings and other forms of insecurity are stemmed down. These suspects are largely responsible for the crimes and all forms of disorder in Jos.

“They kill innocent people on a daily basis; they are very dangerous human beings. We have redeployed our troops into the hinterlands, but we shall continue to raid communities in the city centre to halt these crimes,” he said.

Meanwhile, Naija News previously published that the Nigerian Army troops of the Air component of operation HADARIN DAJI, bombarded a bandits’ logistics warehouse in massive airstrikes conducted in the Kwiambana Forest area of Zamfara State.

The development was disclosed by Major General John Enenche, the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, in a statement released on Wednesday.

Enenche in the statement noted that the airstrikes were executed on Tuesday as part of air interdiction missions being executed under the subsidiary of Operation WUTAN DAJI 2 to rid the North West of the country of armed bandits and other criminal elements.

According to him, several bandits were also executed as a result of the attack.
