RCCG: Pastor Adeboye Speaks On Churches, Mosques Lockdown Extension

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has backed the extension of lockdown ease of worship centers to curb the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Speaking during the July Holy Ghost Service broadcasted on Dove television, Pastor Adeboye said the church would abide by the rules issued by the federal or state government.

The popular cleric who said the church would come out victorious assured Christians that the lockdown would turn out to be a time of greater blessings.

“If people know that this lockdown will lead to greater achievement and prosperity, they will embrace it with joy.

“God has been closer to someone more in this lockdown than ever,” Adeboye said.

Naija News reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported fresh 603 cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

The NCDC confirmed the new 603 cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria in a series of tweets on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Saturday evening, July 4.

According to the NCDC, of the four hundred and fifty-four new coronavirus cases recorded on Saturday evening, 135 were recorded in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, Edo-87 FCT-73 Rivers-67 Delta-62 Ogun-47 Kaduna-20 Plateau-19 Osun-17 Ondo-16 Enugu-15 Oyo-15 Borno-13 Niger-6 Nasarawa-4 Kebbi-3 Kano-2 Sokoto-1 Abia-1, southeast Nigeria.

The NCDC tweeted: 603 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-135 Edo-87 FCT-73 Rivers-67 Delta-62 Ogun-47 Kaduna-20 Plateau-19 Osun-17 Ondo-16 Enugu-15 Oyo-15 Borno-13 Niger-6 Nasarawa-4 Kebbi-3 Kano-2 Sokoto-1 Abia-1 28,167 confirmed 11,462 discharged 634 deaths,” the tweet added.
