The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released a provisional list of nominated candidates for the Edo Governorship Election.

Naija News reports that the electoral umpire has scheduled the election for Saturday, September 19, 2020. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has picked Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as its candidate and Gani Audu as his running mate.

Oba Of Benin Breaks Silence On Insulting Buhari, Oshiomhole

The Benin Traditional Council (BTC), has urged the public to disregard a viral video which alleged that Oba of Benin, Oba Ewaure II, spoke ill of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Given clarification on the alleged report, the BTC in a statement issued today by its Secretary, Frank Irabor, described as untrue a purported video clip shared on social media by one Mr Eranomigho Edegbe alleging that the monarch insulted President Buhari.
