Coronavirus: FG Reveals New Categories Of People That Will Get Cash Transfers (See Details)

The Federal Government of Nigeria has unveiled the category of Nigerians that will be considered for its conditional cash transfers during the coronavirus pandemic.

According to information gathered, poor and vulnerable residents in urban centres with a bank account balance of ₦5,000 or less will be among the beneficiaries of the Conditional Cash Transfer scheme.

Breaking: Government Declares Total Lockdown Of Kwara State

The Kwara State Government has reviewed its earlier decision to allow vehicles to move on days earlier designated for the restocking of foods and other essentials, directing residents to instead patronize neighbourhood shops and observe all safety protocols.

The review means that commercial and private vehicles are now barred from operating, except trucks and trailers conveying foodstuff, medicines and other essential services earlier exempted by the government in its effort to contain COVID-19.
