Simi speaks on Naira Marley's arrest

Nigeria singer and songwriter, Simisola Ogunleye, better known as Simi has reacted to the Coronavirus pandemic which has become a threat all over the world in just a few months.

Simi took to her verified Twitter handle to challenge the Federal Government of Nigeria on the step it is taking to curb the spread of the deadly virus.

The singer in her opinion advises the federal government to shut all borders in Nigeria.

“Has the president addressed Nigerian about corona virus?,” Simi asked.

“Close these borders btw. What is the issue?”

The singer added in another tweet, “Heard they closed the borders to some of the worst affected countries. I’m grateful for that. It’s a start. I know, as Nigerians, many of us think we’re invincible because we’ve survived so much – but I beg you, pls stay safe. Wash hands, stay away from crowds as much as possible.”

In another news, the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government has been accused by the Peoples Democratic Party of playing politics with the Coronavirus epidemic.

The party noted that rather than join Nigerians in reducing the spread of the virus, the APC-led administration is busy sorting issues within the party.
