The Italian currently quarantined in a hospital in Yaba Lagos, after he was confirmed to have been infected with Coronavirus, has also visited Ewekoro in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State this week.

However, the state commissioner for health, Tomi Coker has urged residents and visitors to the state not to panic.

According to Coker, the Italian visited a giant manufacturing company(name withheld) in Ewekoro community, adding that the facility so visited has since been quarantined in accordance with the health safety standard.

The Commissioner, while briefing the press, noted that Ogun state has epidemiologists and Infectious Disease Consultant who are already handling the situation.

Coker said efforts are being made to reach out to people that have had contact with the infected Italian.

She further urged the public to always wash their hands, cover their mouth and nose while sneezing or coughing and to report to the nearest public health centre if they notice any sign of cold, cough and respiratory difficulty.
