Uber Driver That Carried The Italian Coronavirus Patient In Nigeria Speaks

Hours after Nigeria announced it’s first case of the Chinese killer disease, Coronavirus,  the Uber Driver who conveyed the Italian man who was confirmed positive of the virus in Nigeria has cried out and made available his contacts for a check-up.

Naija News understands that the Uber driver who gave his name as Olugbenga Bodurin had posted on his twitter handle on Friday morning to speak up of his meeting with the Italian.

According to Bodunrin, after picking up the reported Coronavirus patient from the airport, they had enjoyed some moments together gisting and dining.

He wrote; “I had contact with Italian citizen the day before yesterday. Am an uber driver i picked him at airport. We talk, gist and laugh together. We even dine together… My name is olugbenga bodunrin. 08136464040.”

Speaking live on a live interview earlier on Friday morning, Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, confirmed the case, saying that the case involves an Italian citizen who works in Nigeria and just returned from Milan, Italy on the 25th of February 2020.

Naija News understands that the Italian was confirmed to be positive by the Virology Laboratory of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, part of the Laboratory Network of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
