The All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, has suspended Kaycee Osamwonyi, an aide to Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, southern Nigeria.

Naija News understands that Governor Obaseki’s aide was suspended for allegedly engaging in acts of thuggery, hooliganism and causing factions within the party.

This online news platform understands that Kaycee was suspended by APC leaders in Ward six Uhunmwode local government area in motion which was moved by Hon. Harrison Orobor and adopted by party members present at the meeting.

It was learned that other reasons adduced for the suspension of the Edo State Governor’s aide were engaging in activities that have brought the APC to ridicule and opprobrium in Ward 06 and promoting subversion and breaches of the Constitution of the APC.

Naija News understands that a disciplinary committee was set up to look into the allegations against Kaycee and submit its report within two weeks.

Members of the disciplinary committee were named as Hon. Clifford Igbineweka, Saturday Enaruerue, Stanley Onaghise, Lucky Onobun and Iziegbe Airhienbuwa.

When contacted for comments, Governor Obaseki’s aides promised to respond but he was yet to do so when this report was filed.
